As we continue to serve the community we love so much, First United is monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic closely.   We are taking steps to manage and respond to the evolving circumstances of the pandemic, while following public health statements issued by all levels of government, including the World Health Organization.

Our priority remains the safety of our staff, shelter residents and housing tenants, as well as those who depend on our drop-in services.  Social distancing in response to the pandemic is so hard when you’re homeless or in substandard housing.  We appreciate the donations that continue to come in to ensure that we keep our operations going and allow us to be as responsive as we can in this troubling time. If you would like to make a contribution, you can do so here.

We will continue to update our response in accordance with best practices as the situation evolves.

Blessings,
The Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne
