This year, we are pleased to partner with the Schein Foundation to present the 2019-2020 Roddan Lectures, dedicated to conversations on the affordable housing crisis in and beyond Vancouver. This year’s lectures cover topics related to gentrification, corporatization, inclusion, planning, and resistance, with speakers from the U.S., Quebec, and Vancouver.
Cost to attend is $10 per person or pay what you can – no one will be turned away for lack of funds. We recommend registering in advance to reserve your spot and so we may communicate with you in the unlikely event there are changes to an event’s time and place.

How you can help
- Volunteer. On the day of events, we often need support setting up the room, greeting guests, keeping things running smoothly, and tidying up after the fact. If you would like to be added to the email contact list of people we contact for ad-hoc event support, please email [email protected]. In the email subject line write “Event volunteer” and in the body please leave your first and last name, email, and phone number and we will follow-up.
- Cover costs. To help cover the costs associated with the series, please click here. When asked, “I would like to give to…” select “other” and simply note “lecture series”.
- Promote the series. To help promote the series, you can repost or share any of our recent social media posts (links below) or download and disseminate this poster.
- Venue & financial sponsorships. Help us secure venues and backers for events like this in the future. If you have access to a low- to no-cost space or are apart of a business or organization that would like to support this series financially, we would love to hear from you.
